This is my first time ever writing a review on a cosmetic product(s), so please excuse me if I go off tangent and start raving on about how cats are happier than humans.
So I’ve been hearing a lot of stuff on the streets about this thing called “BB cream” (which apparently everyone in Asia is obsessed with) and decided to give it a go (you know, me being Asian and all). I’ve been using this product for around three-four weeks now, and, simply put, Skin79 Super+ BB cream (Hot Pink Label) works like magic! Not the sort of magic where the rabbit comes out of the magician’s hat, but like, the real legitimate Harry Potter kind of magic.
My face is prone to oiliness: I’ve got a few pimples here and there and my T-zone area suffers from redness, but this baby formula decently hides it all like a charm. Another great thing about this foundation is that it does about nine other things at the same time: it heals, it conceals, it feels, it reels, it deals…
In plain English, the cream provides UV protection SPF 25, whitening, tightening, brightening, moisturizing…clearly I’m having too much fun. Apparently the BB cream also contains healthy ingredients, but I wouldn’t know for sure because I never studied chemistry during high school. I put the cream on every morning and I’ve noticed that the blemishes on my skin are actually fading! See, I told you it’s like Harry Potter magic.
However (DUN DUN DUNNNNNNN!), it gives my skin a greyish texture even though it blends in quite well with my fair-to-medium skin tone. As a result, I recently purchased the compact powder that goes along with the BB cream—the Skin79 Hot Pink Sun Protect BB Pact SPF30—and it’s so fetch. I mean, now it looks like I don’t have anything on! So I definitely recommend this product if you have a slightly yellow undertone and want to go for a more natural look. It also adds extra protection and healing, and sets the BB cream on your skin so it stays on for longer. The packaging is also a lovely bonus for those who like pretty pink stuff.
BB cream: 4.5/5
Compact powder: 5/5
I bought both products from cosmeticmarket2012 on eBay for around $13 AU each. (I highly recommend this seller, by the way!) If you’ve got dry skin, try going for the Skin79 Super+ BB Cream (Gold label).
